Chelsea could continue to keep Victor Moses in their fold despite interests from English Premier League clubs Cardiff City and Crystal Palace.
With Italian Serie A side SS Lazio set to win the race to sign Davide Zappacosta on loan until the end of the season after the London club appear keen to do a deal, his departure will leave the Blues with Moses as the only back-up to Cesar Azpilicueta in the right-back position though the Nigerian is considered as a winger.
Moses’ only chance to leave Chelsea will be dependent on Chelsea finding a right-back in this January transfer window or Zappacosta’s move to Lazio falls through.
Cardiff and Crystal Palace have been reported by several English media outlets to be lurking in the wings to snap up the 28-year-old Nigerian who has fallen in the pecking order of Maurizio Sarri’s plan this term.
Chelsea are reportedly ready to cash in on Moses for a fee of around £12 million.
Moses has only featured for only 26 minutes in the Premier League this season for Chelsea.
