Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit Go Round FC have handed head coach duties to Willy Udube for their upcoming season.
Udube joined the club midway in last season and worked as first-team assistant coach to Ngozi Elechi who left Go Round FC few days ago on mutual agreement.
Elechi has since moved on to join Yobe Desert Stars.
Udube will have Justin Smart as his deputy. Smart was hooked from amateur side Cynosure FC.
David Dosu, who is elder brother to former Super Eagles goalkeeper Joseph Dosu, is the goalkeeping coach.
The new Go Round head coach believes that his elevation was on the back of the club’s “performance” when he arrived midway last season.
“I was unveiled some months ago as the chief coach of this team and I know quite well that performance speaks for people so the little thing we did is why I was upgraded to this position,” Udube said.
Others in the backroom staff to work with Udube are Abiye Iyalla who is one of the assistant coaches while Peter Abaje remains the video analyst.
Udube has worked at Heartland FC, Gabros FC, Rivers United and Nnewi United previously.
