A potential semi-final clash between African powerhouses Raja Casablanca and Enyimba now look in the offing after the CAF Confederation Cup draw for the quarter-finals on Monday kept both clubs apart.

Enyimba and Raja finished top of their groups and thereby were separated as specified by the draw procedures by CAF.

However both clubs face tricky trips in the first legs of their quarter-final matchups. Enyimba make the journey to Kigali in Rwanda where they will face Rayon Sports while Raja go up to the Horn of Africa in a contest against CARA Brazzaville. The first leg matches hold on September 16.

The return legs for both matches come up on September 23 when Enyimba and Raja play in Aba and Casablanca respectively with the hope of having taken impressive results in their first matches in a bid to set up what will likely be the big tie of the Confederation Cup since both clubs are former CAF Champions League winners.

The other fixtures in the last eight will involved Egyptian side El Masry play hosts to USM Alger in a north African derby in the first leg and Moroccan outfit travel to DR Congo to face AS Vita. The second leg matches take place on September 23.
