Nigerian winger Philip Azango has joined Belgian First Division A side KAA Gent from Slovakian outfit AS Trencin.

Gent only last month parted ways with two Nigerian forwards in Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu.
“Philip Azango Elayo has signed a contract for three seasons at KAA Gent. The 21-year-old Nigerian left flank attacker, born on May 21, 1997, comes from the Slovak AS Trencin. He follows in the footsteps of Moses Simon and Samuel Kalu, who made the same switch earlier,” Gent announced on their website.
Azango, a former apprentice at GBS Academy in the central Nigerian city of Jos, has impressed since moving to Europe.
His pace has lit up the Slovakian top-flight and in the UEFA Europa League scored in the 4-0 against Dutch club Feyenoord in August.
