AS Trencin midfielder Abdul Musa Zubairu is inching closer to a move to a top Belgian club, thepredictorng.com can report.
Belgian side Club Brugge were reported to have shown interest in the 19-year-old but it is now looking certain the box-to-box midfielder is set to move to leave AS Trencin.
However his destination is not Club Brugge, it is understood.
Zubairu’s representative, Tony Harris, only confirmed that the teenager is attracting interests from top European sides but stated that he remains focused at AS Trencin.
“Zubairu is doing well and naturally he is drawing interests. When there’s news you’ll know,” said Harris.
The Trencin number 4 is not short of demands as a host of Premier League clubs including Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham have been tracking his development since he joined the Slovakian club last year.
Zubairu, a product of GBS Academy in Nigerian central city of Jos, has already drawn comparison with French World Cup winner N’Golo Kante for his prodigious talent and work rate in midfield for Trencin.
Zubairu who is one of four Nigerians at Trencin is expected to feature in Thursday’s Europa League’s third qualifying round game against Dutch side Feyenoord.
