Nigeria defenders Ola Aina and Kenneth Omeruo are once again on their way out on season-long loan deals after they were left out of Chelsea’s 23-man roster for their pre-season match against Arsenal at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday.
The pair are not in the plans of Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri for this season and will now seek to feature elsewhere with Omeruo’s destination almost sorted out after he arrived at the Ataturk airport in Istanbul on Tuesday.
Omeruo has been linked with a move to Turkish Super League outfit Göztepe SK and this will be his sixth loan experience since joining the Blues in January 2012.
The former Standard Liege man has had loan spells at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Alanyaspor and Kasimpasa.
Aina, on the other, who missed out on a World Cup place in Nigeria’s squad to Russia is expected to leave Chelsea for another loan stint.
It is expected that Aina will possibly sort out his loan move next week as the transfer window closes before the season kicks off.
Aina who represented England from Under-16 to Under-20 levels before switching international allegiance to Nigeria played on loan at Hull City last season.
