Nigeria captain Mikel John Obi is looking forward to returning to England, this time for a pre-World Cup game at Wembley Stadium on June 2.
The 31-year-old midfielder knows that the England versus Nigeria warm-up match is a big occasion which he has been discussing with his teammates.
Mikel, now playing in the Chinese Super League with Tianjin TEDA, is excited with the chance to play on English soil where he spent 11 years with Chelsea.
“The match comes up only two weeks before our first match at the FIFA World Cup. It will be a big occasion and a big match for both teams as we both look forward to our respective first matches in Russia.
“England is a special place for me having spent so many years playing there, and it is one country I love to go to. We (Super Eagles) are already talking to ourselves and everyone is looking forward to the game,” Mikel said.
