Nigeria’s D’Tigers have been drawn alongside Australia, Canada and New Zealand in the basketball event for men of this year’s Commonwealth Games.
According to the fixtures, D’Tigers will start their first game against New Zealand on 6 April before going up against Canada a day later.
D’Tigers will round off their Pool A games at the Commonwealth Games also known as the Gold Coast 2018 against hosts Australia.
All three games will take place at the Cairns Convention Centre.
Only the top-two teams will qualify for the last four of the men’s basketball event.
D’Tigers are the lowest ranked in their group but remain number one in Africa ahead of powerhouse Angola.
The Nigerian side are ranked 32nd in the world behind Australia (10th), Canada (25th) and New Zealand (30th).
D’Tigers fell six places in the last updated ranking of FIBA for men in November.
In Pool B, Cameroon will face England, India and Scotland at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre.
