Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) newcomers Go Round FC have put on hold plans to play three pre-season friendly matches in the coming days.
According to a statement from the club on Wednesday, their focus is now on the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4 billed to begin this Sunday in Lagos.
Go Round are one of four clubs which gained promotion to the top division from the second tier NNL last term but the playoff to determine the champions of the lower division failed to hold last year.
The club will battle Kwara United, Heartland and Yobe Desert Stars in the Super 4 to determine the champions of the NNL.
The NNL playoff is expected to round off next Tuesday week and leaves Go Round FC with five days to recover before their first-ever game in the top-flight against Wikki Tourists.
Go Round stated that the NNL playoff “will now serve as our preparations for the league opener in Bauchi.”
