Leicester City manager Claude Puel has told Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho to continue to work hard on improving his game.
Puel feels Iheanacho did put in a decent shift in midweek in the Carabao Cup quarter-final game against Manchester City but wants more from his Nigerian star.
“(Iheanacho) tried, he shoot on target. He had a good opportunity in the first half. He gave his best.
“He’s a young player, he needs to continue to work to improve.
“It was important to see him, to give him game-time. It was a good opportunity for him and other players,” said Puel.
Iheanacho played 57 minutes of the League Cup game before he made way for Jamie Vardy.
The former Manchester City man has made nine Premier League appearances for the Foxes this season since completing a £25 million move to the King Power Stadium at the start of this campaign.
