Two-time CAF Champions League winners Enyimba have placed one of their strikers Christian Obiozor on indefinitely suspension “until further notice.”
According to the club, Obiozor has been punished for failing to report for pre-season camping in Ado-Ekiti.
The suspension handed down to the striker starts immediately and without pay, said the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club.
“Enyimba Football Club has suspended striker Christian Obiozor indefinitely and without pay until further notice.
“The suspension takes effect immediately.
“The decision to suspend the player is in light of his gross indiscipline and violation of the club’s code of conduct, which has seen him fail to report to the team’s pre-season camp in Ado-Ekiti,” the club stated on their website.
The Peoples Elephant said they have already notified the League Management Company (LMC) of the suspension.
In July, Obiozor was close to completing a move to South African club Orlando Pirates but the deal collapsed after it emerge that a transfer fee could not be agreed.
