Jawani: Fashionista with a love for comedy

Juliet Esiri Imonije, mostly known as Jawani by many, has carved a niche for herself over the years as a devouted follower of fashion and at the same time a designer of haute couture.

Her love for fashion and style of the highest quality led her to starting her own outfit Jawani Dress Down (JDD) in 2013.

Ms Imonije’s career as a fashionista began six years ago at a time she dressed for models for runway and anchored pageantry ceremonies as well during entertainment events.

However Jawani as she is popularly called has found a new love in acting – comedy to be precise.

Also called Doctor of Comedy and Queen of the stage by some of her admirers, she explains her reasons for delving into acting via comedy.

“Apart from being a multi-talented individual and apart from my fashion busines, I also have the urge to this (comedy) in order to deliver a message to a large audience just as I do same in my clothing design business too.

“I want to pass a message to a very wide audience through comedy and also do so in a relaxed mood for them,” she told thepredictorng.com.

The graduate of Sociology from the Delta State University and certified project manager still remains very skilled and committed to her fashion designing business. No wonder she has some top clients like Biker GH, Wheelers, Easy Riders, Accapocco, Alpha-K Allied Limited, Technoton, Harm and Phat among others.
