RC Deportivo goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been handed a call to join up with the Nigeria setup for their final 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game in Algeria in November.
According to the Spanish La Liga club, the 19-year-old stopper is expected to be part of the Nigerian contingent to Krasnodar in Russia for an international friendly with former World champions Argentina on 14 November, four days after the game against Algeria.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have already booked their place at the 2018 World Cup and their head coach Gernot Rohr is looking at bringing in new faces to shore up his playing personnel especially in the goalkeeping department where Ikechukwu Ezenwa now appears to have taken up the number one role in the absence of Carl Ikeme who is being treated for leukaemia.

Uzoho, a former Nigeria Under-17 goalkeeper, has risen to the big stage following his recent appearances for RC Deportivo in the Spanish La Liga.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is expected to announce the roster for the World Cup qualifying match in Algeria and the warm-up game with Argentina in Russia this week.
