Nigeria president Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, ordered that Abdulrasheed Maina be immediately relieved from the civil service.
Buhari has also demanded for a full report on why Maina was recalled into public service with a weighty allegation hanging over his head.
Maina was declared wanted for an alleged N2 billion pension scam by the EFCC while he sat as chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms during Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure.
He reappeared from hiding since he was declared wanted two years ago.

Maina was recently appointed as an acting director in the ministry of interior by the country’s head of service but the president has directed that his appointed be quashed with immediate effect.
The president’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, revealed the sack order via his Twitter account.
“PMB (President Muhammadu Buhari) orders immediate disengagement of Mr Abdulrasheed Maina from service. Asks for full report on circumstances of his recall,” Adesina stated.
