Nigeria women’s national team striker Francisca Ordega has signed for Atletico Madrid Women on loan.
The club announced that they signed the 24-year-old forward on a loan move that will run out in March 2018.
Ordega joins from American club Washington Spirit after successfully undergoing a medical exams.

“The 24-year-old Nigerian footballer is on the front line and will wear our jersey until next March when he will start a new edition of the American competition,” stated the club on their website.
Ordega in her first interview after completing the move to the Spanish club said she is ready to “start” and “make the (club) fans proud of me.”
“For me it’s an honor and I’m very happy to be here. Atletico Madrid is a great club, internationally recognized, and I really want to start,” he told the club’s website.
“I will make the fans feel proud of me.”
