Manchester United are angry with Jose Mourinho and are considering replacing him with former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, according to sensational reports.

The Red Devils manager made comments earlier this week saying he would not finish his career at Old Trafford.

And that has led to Mourinho being linked with a switch to Paris St-Germain in the future.

Now Spanish outlet Don Balon claim United officials are not impressed and are considering a replacement for next season.

The man they have in mind is former Barca boss Luis Enrique who is currently out of a job after leaving the Nou Camp at the end of the last campaign.

The reports claim the Spaniard will have finished his sabbatical and also has the character to handle the big personalities in the Old Trafford dressing room.

Manchester United were in action on Wednesday night against Benfica in the Champions League.

Mourinho’s side managed to scrape their way to a 1-0 win in an unimpressive performance.

That follows the 0-0 Premier League draw with arch rivals Liverpool in which the Special One was heavily criticised for his defensive tactics.

But Mourinho was happy with the overall level of performance.

“We were in control, David de Gea did not have one save to make,” he explained.

“I never felt we could concede a goal and were solid defensively.

“Sometime I feel being good defensively is a crime, but that is a way of getting results.

“We are one point from qualifying and one victory away from winning the group with two games at home to play. A good game, solid.”

United return to action on Saturday when they travel to Huddersfield in the Premier League.

They will be looking to close the two-point gap to leaders Manchester City who face Burnley on same day.

After that the Red Devils take on Swansea in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening as they continue their defence of the competition.
