DR Congo wideman Yannick Bolasie is reported to be in discussion with English Championship side Middlesbrough in a bid to move to the Riverside Stadium on loan.
The 29-year-old is believed to have held talks with The Boro manager Tony Pulis in order to join on a season-long loan deal.
However Bolasie’s weekly wage of around £70,000 could determine a lot in his talks with Middlesbrough.
The DR Congo international was heavily linked with a deadline day move to Premier League clubs Burnley and Crystal Palace but both moves did not materialise.
With the former Bristol City reportedly down the pecking order at Everton, a move on loan to Middlesbrough looks the realistic option since only Championship clubs can take players on loan.
‘Boro are also reported to have been in the hunt for the wideman during the last minutes of the transfer deadline day.
Pulis is a big admirer of the Congolese having spent time together at Crystal Palace where Bolasie featured in more 100 matches.
Last season Bolasie played in 17 matches due to a serious knee injury that the player feared could have ended his career.
