Niger Tornadoes defender Reuben Ogbonnaya is attracting interests from rival NPFL clubs Kano Pillars and El-Kanemi Warriors, thepredictorng.com can report.
Both clubs have been tracking the performance of the defender who has been playing as a right-back this term at Tornadoes.
El-Kanemi especially have been monitoring the situation involving Ogbonnaya at Tornadoes where renegotiation of his wages have not been smooth so far.
Thepredictorng.com has learnt that El-Kanemi head coach Imama Amapakabo is willing to hijack the defender from under the noses of Tornadoes should blink in the negotiation for an improved pay package which the Maiduguri club are ready to double.
Amapakabo also regards Ogbonnaya as the man who could add steel to an otherwise struggling El-Kanemi defence.
However Kano Pillars have jumped in the queue for Ogbonnaya who they cut loose in 2016 after he endured a long period of injuries on the sideline.
Kano Pillars have already won the bid to sign another defender Kalu Orji Okagbue who last featured for Rangers.
The second transfer window in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) opened on Saturday and will be closed on May 12.
